Anybody had any success driving converting traffic to CPA offers using Twitter? If so, what types of CPA offers are you having luck with on Twitter?

Their TOS is pretty straightforward. The only thing that even comes close is:

      8. You must not create or submit unwanted email to any Twitter members ("Spam").

So if you create a Twitter account and put your offer in your profile link I don't see how that's a violation of anything. Perhaps not an effective way to use Twitter, but certainly not a TOS violation.

Send people to your blog and then to the offers and TOS should be OK.

Twitter is a very powerful tool to make friends fast. But the one thing you don't want to do is spam people with whatever you are doing. Make friends first and share what you do later.

I don't agree you send traffic to any cpa offer using Twitter. If you want to do that send traffic to your blog.

In my experience, conversions are so low its almost not even worth it.. People will tend to ignore your every post. If you are wanting to use twitter your best bet will be to advertise something on your blog, at most once every 2 days or maybe once every 15 tweets..

Twitter should be like someone said earlier, a list-building tool, or blog visitor tool.. that's it

A lot of people on here have some really good points, but I thought I would give thoughts from another perspective. So for the most part (as a general rule) Twitter traffic isn't very effective, or high converting for CPA offers. There are a few exceptions and strategies though.

I know some twitter marketers work more on gathering huge lists of followers first (over 200,000) then using these followers in ways such as

    1. Monetizing them through ads (*Bruce Lee Quote* to fitness offer)
    2. Moving them around to other twitter accounts (Don't forget to add @exampleaccount for..)

One example is I've seen people make "themed" accounts such as funny lines, jokes, or inspirational quotes. They start automating 24 tweets a day (1 per hour) and keep a ratio of 1 ad to 15-20 quality tweets.

Once you have a several accounts and a system for maintaining them, you can work on monetization.

I've never been able to monetize on twitter traffic. Yes, you can get a decent amount of traffic, but it will be very low converting

I am actually running one right now that works amazingly well with Twitter - it's a claims based product for mainstream consumers though so quality isn't much of an issue so perfect for this kind of traffic ... and I target the main trending keywords as well while they are happening to someone (hashtags and all that stuff).

But basically, you either have a claim or you don't so it's very straightforward processing - pretty much like a sausage factory
