MaxBounty Success, turned into a huge loss. [Unfair ban?]

Before I start writing this thread, I would like to tell you guys that I'm not a total beginner when it comes to CPA marketing and what kind of traffic is okay and what is not. And that MaxBounty isn't the first network that I've ever worked with.

I've been using MaxBounty for a couple of days without sending my full traffic, I've made $100-$200 with like a little less than half of my traffic, until I decided to move my full traffic to there and I made about $570.00 in my first day.

My affiliate manager Marianne Eid changed my account to incentive because she thought that I was doing incentives, I tried to explain my methods because I never had problems with other networks, but she said that they were doing this to ensure that I get my total payment of $2500.00.

6 days later I get an email telling me that my account got terminated for fraud, I wrote a message to marianne eid on skype, she said that it was because incentive traffic being sent to non-incentive offers.

She later blocked me, Or removed me. I'm guessing that because all that happened in the 20th of August and today is the 28th and I've yet to see her online.

My methods were the following:
I promote a file, preferably related to the CPA offer that I promote. I will take an exampel:
I promote a youtube video about Blackops 2, I pick the offer about Blackops 2 from maxbounty.

I show a video about gameplay and a link in the description on where to get Black ops 2, it's a download page but the offer is for black ops 2 that clearly shows the text/banner that MaxBounty provides. So the user that completes the offer is 100% interested.

Same thing with other offers, for example iMesh free download. I put a video about Spotify premium and I show the ad about iMesh which is a free alternative. I hope that you get my point.

The thing that is bugging me is that Marianne has already seen my website. I'm not sure but I'm almost positive because she knew the ways that I promoted and suggested doing PPC when she called me to recommend me some offers to promote.

The question is: Were they trying to squeeze the last cent out of me and later ban me, or did they simply were going to give me my money if I promoted their offers?

Now if you really want to read this story in detail: pastebin[dot]com/DRsRCSBe

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that this problem will get solved, not only because it's $2500.00 but it's because this is seriously going to kill my business totaly. Now when my niche died, I can't really do anything without the money that I'm owed because I used some adverstising on gaming forums for some of my ads.

I do not think that maxbounty would try to leave you empty handed. Your business is their business so why should they.

Yes, but if the customer made them good money, it would make more sense to guide the customer to get even better results than just taking him out of business.
      Just doesn´t make sense.
They have been around for a while and would not scam their customers for a few thousand $.

This is a good option. Since you are a new member, such kind of confusion might happen and they want to be on the safer side. You can call them and try to convince them of what you are doing is 100 percent fair and within TOS.

You were using an incentive to get people to complete the offer. The "could be downloaded by doing an incentive survey" right there is the kicker. You admitted that you were using an incentive method to get the offer completed.

So then lets look at the offer you listed:

        iMesh

You see that big red X under the Incentive traffic type? That means you can't do it.

You are asking why it went on for a week before they banned your account? Sometimes it takes a while for a network to catch onto what their affiliates are doing.

You got caught breaking the rules, the CEO even came here and posted the proof of it.

There isn't really much more to say beyond this point, and WF is not the place to have a pissing match with the network. I would suggest you let this thread die before the moderators get involved.

Why would you incentivize a non-incentive offer & expect to not get caught?

It's not like the offers at maxbounty don't explicitly say what kind of methods are allowed and which are not.

You got caught and tried to play innocent, c'mon man. I could see if it was an honest noob mistake or something, but it seems as though you knew exactly what you were doing and hoped you would get away with it long enough to get the payout.

    Hello,

Sorry for the late response guys, I wasn't content locking, that's the part that you guys misunderstood. I promoted the offers with content related to the offers.

The offers were strictly used for some files, for example if the file would be "spotify premium code" then it could be downloaded by doing an incentive survey. If you check the link you will see that the networks used are incentive friendly BUT I showed one MaxBounty survey that were related, for example the iMesh - Free download which is an alternative to spotify, or BlackOps 2, I did the exact sasme thing but instead of iMesh I showed the black ops offer. Is this incentivizing? I don't think so. Highly doubt that someone uninterested downloaded a file.

Okay, so you are positive that I was incentivizing alright? Then why did you ban me a whole week AFTER I told you that I wouldn't work with you anymore, and not when you called me the 1st time and suggested offers to promote, the second time when you called, or the third time when you called OR the fourth time when you called and switched my account to incentive-account to insure that I would get my money BUT you wanted me to promote some other offers. When I emailed you back after testing them and telling you that they were bad, you never responded and banned me 6 days later?

Even if I did something wrong, why didn't you tell me that and banned me before generating this value, comeon. Even if it was my fault, you didn't have to do the last part.

Edit: Not to mention blocking me/removing me from Skype and AIM? Why can't I have a chance to explain and have to post on a public forum?

I got banned from CJ for a similar sort of nothing. But maxbounty seem to be better. I have a nice affiliate aswell who helps me out if I need it. But sometimes CPA networks can just ban you as its easier than looking at the evidence.

Maxbounty is one of the most widely used CPA networks and if they ban you there must be a good reason. You have put up your case here and they have also seen it as evident above. If you are able to plead your way back that will be good for you. I wouldn't waste too much time on it if I were you and move on to the next network and promise myself to be more careful.

I barely understood that. In other words, you showed your offer with a content locker that was related to your youtube video. Blackops 2 video>>Content locker>>Blackops 2 Survey

The problem here is the Content Locker, that's what creates the incentive. The users incentive is to "unlock" the content in order to download. Meaning they are more likely to put whatever info in order to download the file, thus bad traffic quality. So it's understandable. But worth a ban?
My only issue here is how MaxBounty handled the situation. This is something I personally hate about big networks. They suddenly think they are big enough to simply ban someone without an explanation. They forget when they weren't big like they are now they relied on the people that they are banning now. Shame on Maxbounty for how the situation was handled. Reinstate his account, slap on the wrist as I don't see any purposeful mal-intent, seems MB are just being a bunch of jerks.

No matter what you do online, if you got banned there always is a strong reason behind the ban.

Something doesn't happen for nothing. I don't think that any affiliate network would ban you without a very clear violation of their terms of service.

Just take a look at all those people who get banned from AdWords or AdSense. Most of them don't even know Google's advertising policies nor do they care about Google's rules.

In most cases, if you got banned you made a serious mistake in relation to their terms of service/policies.

Just because you have gotten banned doesn't the ban cannot be lift. I'm pretty sure that if you put in enough effort to lift the ban, they will be more than happy to see you advertising on their network again.

Unless of course you did something totally unethical and crooked.

Call them up to clarify why you have been banned to get the information you need to progress.

Hate it when you get terminated for false bullshit, I was with MB for at least a month and a half and one week for one of my highest payouts my account to was terminated for fraud. I tried to contact my aff manager but of course I was blocked to. What doesn't make sense is I talked to marianne actually the day before the ban and I told her all my traffic sources once more and what I am looking to promote and she said that my account was in great standing and I could keep earning. I guess that was a 100% lie though. Its been 3 weeks and I have yet to find a CPA that is similar and or better than MaxBounty

I guess you didn't take the time to realize or even research this forum to notice Maxbounty is a very creditable network and has thousands of happy affiliates and thought bringing this in the public would help get your fraud paid for.

It is simple if you used any form of content locking and used a offer that was not incentive you commited fraud and Maxbounty did what they had to do to protect the offer and other affiliates.

MB has affiliates i am sure clearing thousands a day, i highly doubt they wanted to steal your small amount.

can they change the title of this thread to - MaxBounty Success, turned into a huge loss. [Oh snap i was busted]
