Completely agree, just because traffic doesn't convert it doesn't mean it's a scam. Can be a whole host of reasons - poorly targeted and bad landing/squeeze page.

That said there is plenty of fraud traffic out there and even reputable networks will always have some element of fake traffic - whether they're aware of it and turn a blind eye to it, or simply don't know is a whole different discussion.

The main issue with Clicksor is simply ad placement. They've been around a long time and there are a bunch of very crappy sites out there with their ads plastered all over them. The same could be said about AdSense, but they do a much better job of targeting.

If you're looking for relatively cheap traffic, can't hurt to try Clicksor, but like was mentioned, don't except the quality to be amazing.

Agree can't hurt to try them but..

    * start off with a small test campaign; and

    * analyse every bit of traffic that comes through.

Campaigns can fail for all sorts of reasons - bad product, bad landing page etc, but just as often it can be because of the traffic they're sending!

I wouldn't say that clicksor is a scam because they have been around for quite some time now. The only thing I don't like about them is their pop ups.

Well I would consider them to be a scam for the following reasons.

According to someone that works at clicksor the traffic does not convert into any sales.

Why does the traffic not convert?

I'm guessing their is a lot of click fraud which clicksor haven't taken care of.
Clicksor oviously don't know anything about running a good quality ad network so shouldn't be in business.

    No, they're not a scam.

Their traffic isn't excellent, but it's cheap, so the traffic source isn't necessarily bad.

I know people who make bank with Clicksor but not with CPA offers. So, if you have the time and resources available to master this traffic source, it wouldn't be that bad of an idea.

Ok, I did run a Casino offer on CPV with Clicksor. I've generated 4535 clicks and got 18 conversion. I had to run 4000 clicks to see which site was converting, then I have asked my account manager to run only the campaign on those sites. Now the traffic is very slow, but still getting better conversion rate. My campaign will be break even in few days and I'll start making profit.

I don't know if it's good or not, but I have started with 50$ to see what was working and not. I have tried before 7search adBrite, Adwords, PoF, Facebook, and clicksor gave me the best. I'm now trying to find other source of traffic. If you have suggestion where I don't have to upfront 500$, it would be cool

I don't know if it's fraud or not but it definitely performs very very poorly.

Over this weekend just for fun I ran a campaign for one of our offers we know converts around 7-20% on every traffic source we've tested.

    My Dentist Matches

I was on break for thanksgiving so decided to test how it performs on clicksor because that's my idea of fun on a vacation

I loaded $1k into the account so I could get the premium service and in doing so one of their reps contacted me quickly. She was able to approve my funding and get my account live in the same day.

I built out 1 campaign which was a keyword text campaign. I went to the Google keyword sandbox

    https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeti...=KEYWORD_IDEAS

and pulled all the keywords based on dentist, tooth pain, teeth pain and stuck them into my Clicksor campaign. I used the basic ads we always use that work well.

    Search Prescreened Dentists
1000's of Local dentists in your area.
Start searching and get matched now.

I set the campaign budget to $50/day to spend and sat and waited.

After about a few hours it had spent $50. Had 1500 clicks and 1 lead. Which honestly makes no sense for me at all. I can understand if an ad was showing but didn't get any clicks. But how is it possible that 1500 people made enough of a commitment to click the ad that they wanted to find a local dentist, BUT didn't want to search dentists in their area? I don't see how that's even possible. If this was a CPV campaign sure I could see our page getting popped and no response. But that it's a text ad campaign and got that many clicks and no conversions makes it seem fishy.

At the end of today we were at 4200 clicks and 3 leads over the last 3 days. That's a 0.07% conversion rate. I don't understand how that's real traffic...

Do they have an option to block bad performing websites or affiliates? If they do then you can probably track which sites produce conversions with prosper202.

Then you can block any sites that don't produce conversions. You can also ask for a refund for all clicks that aren't unique.

Yes they have click conversion tracking right in Clicksor by placing a conversion pixel. So on that $300 spend the clicks came from around 1000 sites. With another 5000 or so getting impressions. Based on what I'm seeing it seems like you'd need to spend around $7-10k in losses to find the good placements. Then that's a pretty deep hole to dig out of. Say you were making $2-3 per lead you'd need the placements you found to have some HUGE volume to make up for that loss.

Based on that not sure it would make sense.

I agree with most of the comments here. I don't believe that Clicksor is a scam but I don't think they are making a diligent effort to stop fraudulent clicks.

Their metrics package doesn't seem to sync with what I'm seeing with Google Analytics or another proprietary metrics package we use in our office. With any PPC program, there's always going to be a discrepancy but my traffic numbers are about 70% less when compared to what Clicksor claims they are directing to my website.

Overall, the traffic seems "shady" to say the least. I have a client website that we're accustomed to seeing an 18% conversion rate; with Clicksor, the number is at 0% so far.

Support is well below average and as of this morning, they appear to be down so I can't log in to see their "metrics" they claim to my client site. The response time from their support team ranges from one day to two days. Compared to other platforms, this is not good.

I won't be using this for my clients anymore.

I've used clicksor in the past for advertising (not publishing) and they're definitely not a scam. Adwords targets a lot better but clicksor converts and they are pretty cheap. Also had a decent turnout with kanoodle. No luck with 7 search at all which is odd because they claim to have a search engine and toolbar. Bingads (formerly ms adcenter) works great for me too.

BIGGEST SCAM ... if u look at their traffic source , it's all coming from paid to click or paid to surf website with 100% bounce rate and 1 sec visit

    example of traffic site:
    yahoo.whptp.net
    cpm.whptp.net
    youtube.whptp.net

Clicksor do very little to monitor the fake traffic, fraud, malware, viruses etc. that plague their network - and they are completely unwilling to refund any money to a customer that confronts them with evidence such as I have.

  • I do not recommend Clicksor - I've just had some difficulty with them, I purchased as an advertiser.

The "clicks" they deliver are at best poor quality or are not real. They also over-inflate what they claim in their reports to deliver - the "clicks" do not tie up with Google Analytics.

I bought $50 and asked for a full refund which they agreed to but then they only partially refunded me claiming they can't refund for the "clicks" I'd already received.

They won't refund the rest so I've taken it up with PayPal in the hope that they will mediate.

They make false claims and offer poor service and I hope this post helps others avoid this company and the distress it's caused me in this case.
