Pulse 360 asking credit card number, scam?

Hi all,

I wanted to use pulse360 to test a new campaign, however I had a bad feeling when I received an email asking me to provide them with my FULL credit card number, expiration date and security code via fax!!! Sounds quite scammy to me (besides is against the terms and conditions of probably most credit cards...).

How come pulse 360 needs all this info and Google AdWords doesn't???

The other scammy thing is that they blocked my account AFTER I funded my campaing $25, and now I cannot even access my account or do anything until they have "verified" my account. Essentially they kidnapped my (fortunately few) $25!!! Note, they didn't mention anywhere that they would block-verify my account before I could use my credit!

Has anyone any bad/good experience with pulse 360? what do you think? Are other ad networks asking the same kind of information? Hope not.

If you are using other ad networks which do not ask to post you the photocopy of your credit card number I would appreciate if you could share them. I will switch to them asap I guess...

Sometimes for verification ad networks do require proof .Not a big deal

Seems fine to me. And they blocked your account until they could verify you is just what it sounds like. They want to make sure it's you using your card.

  Exactly, this has happened multiple times to me. Just gotta prove you are you every now and then lol.
  
  They didn't kidnap your funds lol, just simply locked until you prove who you are :p

  Thanks you all, I really appreciate your quick response!
  
  I may be paranoid but I will try to send them all the info they requested, except that I will blur the middle 8 figures of my card. That should suffice as they can see that the name and signature on the card is the same as the name of the my ID and the 8 outer figures coincide with the credit cart they have in their system.
  
  As I said AdWords does not require this silly verification method, besides if I really stole the credit card I would easily photoshop the numbers/names and all this "super-safe" verification method would end up being useless anyway.
  
  I am still of the idea that transmitting via mail/fax a copy of all my credit card number and having one (or more..) physical copy of it thrown somewhere in their offices does not make my bank account any safer... I actually encourage anybody who is requested such info to request a safer verification alternative!
