Save up some money first. It's so much trial and error that a small budget isn't going to do it. When I started I didn't listen to anyone and I wasted nearly $1,000 because I wasn't ready and didn't have all the information

I don't agree with you guys. I started campaigns with only $40 and I've learnt a lot. Now I'm starting to see some profits. It's all about what you do with your money.
To lifbali, before you plunge into the IM arena, make a plan on how are you going to execute all this stuff. Without an organized plan, you would find yourself wasting money with no point.

It's not to say that you won't learn a lot, but you can do things much smoother when you have enough money. $40 is barely enough for 2-3 campaigns. While you can run it, you can't effectively run split tests and run those campaigns to see what works within that campaign. Nobody said that you can't do it if you don't have a ton of money, it's just smarter to save up and be able to run everything all at once.

Yes I understand but we all should pass a clear message that says one doesn't has to start with tons of money in order to succeed in this business.

Don't spend all your time looking. You'll end up looking and researching things to death.

Find one thing first, learn it, master it THEN do other things.

Strong statement. This summarizes all you need to do. Though hard, focusing on one thing then the other will surely work.

As other said, start with the free guide, take some time, don't think you gonna start from day 1,you can if you are lucky enough or get the right direction,so start learning first and then testing and final step is to take action,if you just reading reading and reading, you not gonna get anything,so take action is the key once you learned something

I am a newbie too, i just begin by youtube "free traffic" you can do the same like me, i just made my first sale in CB, but that take a long time, free traffic is time consuming, but it s the only chose to begin. it take alot of time to rank your video in google, especially in good keywords, try to avoid reading alot of tutorials and lessons, that will disturb your focus. Good luck.

There are about 3 posts made per day asking this same question on the forum.

All you need to do is search around a bit, or even scroll down a bit. Here is a response I just posted in another thread...

"Read as many guide as you can get your hands on, the general concept is as follows. Each step may seem complicated to master, but they are all achievable with dedicated and a love of learning new things.

    1. Get a VPS server setup (LiquidWeb or BeyondHosting) and get on some quality CPA Networks (Peerfly, NeverBlue, or MaxBounty.)

    2. Find a traffic source. PPC or PPV work good for those starting out. So Bing Ads, 7Search, or LeadImpact are all fine for beginner.

    3. Research all you can about this traffic source using the WarriorForum's search function and buying a few cheap but needed guides. (Don't spend over 10% of your budget on guides/training.)

    4. Pick a good CPA offer. This what I do here to find good converting offers.

    5. Research your niche and CPA competition on your Traffic Source, and decide what type of landing page and angle you can use to beat their landing pages.

    6. Setup tracking, Sub-ID or Tracking202 will do, if you are a newbie.

    7. Start testing, and split testing. Analyze the data and make decisions, if you are unsure how to interpret things, post it here on WF and you'll get some great feedback!"

If you're looking to generate revenues from CPA, you'll need:

    1. To have a decent site for being approved into the good networks. There are hundreds around but the smaller ones sometimes mysteriously "disappear".

    2. Figure out which niche you want to target. I'd steer clear of poverty niches where the target audience has no money. There are niches where you can pocket CPAs of $50 to $100 per niche.

    3. Beyond CPA, build in some robust residual and recurring income into your business model. These plop in monthly while you're out hustling for new sales and clients.

Lots of good CPA videos about - PM if you want a link .

The good news is that you don't need a lot of money.

The bad news is that you do need a lot of determination and commitment. Like anything else, getting over the CPA learning curve is a journey. It won't happen overnight and won't happen by buying a product. Absolutely use resources out there (free, paid, coaching, whatever) but rely on yourself and your grit

Start by figuring out your traffic source

Then just jump in the fire and start doing it

Supplement your "doing" with a little learning each day...but the "doing" should take up more of your time and energy than the "learning"

    most people get that backwards

    good luck

        Best Regards,
Nobody on this forum is going to give you a step by step plan. Go through some of the threads. There is no one path to success in internet marketing. It's an uphill struggle when you're starting out. The warriors are here to help you, but nobody is going to hold your hand. (And I hope that doesn't sound like I'm being a jerk but it's just a fact).

With that said, you need to choose which path is right for you. You'll find that as you find success in one path, you might branch out into others. It's just a matter of searching around on the forum and deciding where you want to get your start. The best thing I can say to you is before you jump into anything, sit down. Write out a step-by-step plan, with as many details as you possibly can, as to how you're going to do this.

I recently saw a post about working out but I believe it applies here. It said: "Fall in love with the process, and the results will follow". I think that's true in every aspect of internet marketing. I was losing money for 1-2 years. But I loved running campaigns and running tests. Stay with it. It's going to get hard, but stick with it and you'll see the results you're looking for. Your best learning tool is experience. At the end of the day you can read any and all courses you want but unless you act on it and get your feet wet you won't know or see results.

The warriors are always here to help you with the process, but the specifics are up to you.

And so I remind you, "Fall in love with the process, and the results will follow".

        To your success,

        - Jon

Like top said, free can take much longer. With that said, the reason people use paid traffic is because they can put it on a much faster, and bigger scale. Not just for the fact that you have a way to get guaranteed targeted clicks/views, but also because you can get it setup with tracking software, etc.

            Random Ex -

If i put a walmart email submit on youtube...

            - When I get clicks, I know that it came from youtube (Assuming that's the only place I put it)
            - I don't really know how people got there, the exact keywords they were searching for, etc.
            - I don't know if they were ready to buy, or just looking for more information (obviously depends on what your video is called or whatever but just go with it for my example ;P)

This contrasts with me putting up a simple PPC campaign... (This assumes you're using tracking software.. which you should be.)

            - I know what they were searching for
            - I know where they came from
            - I know if they entered a buying keyword or a keyword that just implied they wanted more information
            - I track conversions, and I'm able to see which keywords and/or websites (gets a little more in depth but you get the point) are converting.

The benefit of youtube is yes, it doesn't cost you anything, but once you put it up, that's basically it. There's little to no tweaking that can be done there, no way to optimize. And it can take quite some time to see results.

When you look at a PPC campaign. You keep the performers and get rid of the losers, you have to test, but you'll find out what works in that niche, for that offer. (Or if that offer just doesn't work at all).

**This is just an example as I'm pretty sure most email submits can't be promoted with youtube**

With that said - Hopefully you've read Kenster's rags to riches. It'll give you an idea of some of the free traffic sources out there. Always worth testing and trying out, but the saying "You've gotta spend money to make money" really does apply in IM. Most people making big bucks on the internet are spending money to get more money back. It works because they've done the tracking and run the tests and they've found out what works. Now it depends where you're looking to get started but definitely take a look at 7search. The quality of traffic is questionable but that's where I tell most people getting started out to go. It's a $25 deposit and they have some coupons. But at the end of the day, don't feel like you wasted 25 bucks, truthfully you probably won't sell any products, you might get a couple of email submits if you're lucky. But the key is to learn the process of how paid advertising works, and start building on your experience.

            Thanks buddy!!

As per the other quoted posts, I agree. Instead of looking for a step by step guide, just determine a traffic source and then just grind it out.

I've been in this biz long enough to know that you'll spend 10 times longer and 10 times more money trying to find a step by step than it would take to just jump into the fire and determine the steps yourself!!

That's not because people don't want to show you the steps, it's because there are so many variables and circumstances that make it more of an art than a science. It's like telling a pro artist to hand you a step by step guide on how to paint the masterpieces they do.

They won't and they can't. Instead, they can simply give you some good guidelines and then it's up to you to put brush to canvas and get er done!

When set up a new campaign. Make sure you have a quite low daily budget from the beginning. Then you can watch the keyword statistics and adjust the campaign. Make sure you put up conversion tracking. Usually you notice that some keywords you pay a lot but get low or zero conversion. Simply put, internet marketing much is about tuning and market on right channels and with right keywords.

    Best regards

That is a very smart way to explain it! I agree! Great Advice!

      Best regards,

I have one but haven't really officially launched it so it won't be active until probably next year.

To be perfectly honest, there are two forums you should join.

      1. This one. Lots of helpful warriors here
      2. Traffic specific one. Find one related to your traffic source of choice

There are other paid forums that are great, but the above is a solid route to go without spreading yourself too thin

    The simplest way will be.
    1. Read Rags to Riches 4 times and never skip any single words.
    2. Join a CPA network like peerfly(One of the best) and find an offer
    3. Chose a paid traffic source like Facebook ppc, 7search or pof.
    4. Read 5-10 case study on your desire paid traffic source. That will give you so many ideas.
    5. Learn how to track.
    6. Run Paid campaign.
    7. Check stats and optimize never think to make profit just try to minimize losses.
    8. Repeat!!

    That's it.

    Thanks

Basically Internet Marketing is testing our patience, because many people started the Internet marketing and reading all over the worlds e-books, tips but never be follow single tip for at least one or two weeks and check the result, they wants the result in one or two days which is not possible, the hard work and patience is key words for successful Internet marketing, so start the test and test only ....Best of Luck

If your budget is limited than just don't spend it. And also don't spend your money little by little. Sonixkid3000 is right. Save up some money and then spend at once. If you are to start a campaign then you need to invest some amount of money, but at once if you want to get real results. Instead of just spending 20-30$ and to expect something will only be a loss of money. If you have money at once directly spend more than 100-200$ to see real results. If you see it really works than just proceed. If not stop it. I'm telling you this because the other way you will spend this money by time and will end up with failure. You will lose as an extra, time. I don't know how limited is your budget but save up some money and then spend it at once.

Join up to a paid forum before doing anything, especially if you're a total newbie. You need someone to guide you to success or it'll be a long road till you see something come in!

Also, have about $1,000 to play with.

If you have enough money, I suggest you research who's the go-to IM guru out there that offers courses or mastermind groups and enroll. From time to time, $7 WSOs are good but it's really hard to connect the dots with those things if you are starting from scratch.

So your best bet is to find a good mentor/teacher.

    Take action!
Seriously, if you start reading and buying a lot of ebooks you will end up broke and with a lot of unuseful information because knowing a lot can be also a potentially dangerous as is knowing nothing

For the start, try to promote email/zip submit offers, or if you feeling comfortable with offline marketing, get a flyers, info.domain redirect for your offer, and start promoting it offline. Kenster started like that, I think, forgive me Kenster if I am wrong

But, like i said in the beginning of this post - Take action!!!
