Can you direct link to an affiliate offer from FB?

Will Facebook allow you to do this or do you need to set up a landing page?

You either need to setup a landing page or iframe your offer.

      Hi Mr Lim,

When you say to iframe the offer, do you mean to iframe it inside your own landing page? Is it possible Facebook would ban you for this?

      Thanks!

Over 2 years ago, I used to promote a product on facebook. I redirected people directly to facebook page's landing page. Facebook did nothing. It was working fine.

For whatever Facebook is not approving - there are cloakers.

It's very hard to find a current working one. I have a friend selling it, but you have to prepare your wallet for a premium cloaker.

You normally can, but you should really try using landing pages

      Hi Chris,

Are you saying you should use the landing page because FB doesn't allow direct linking, or is there another reason I'm missing.

Facebook doesn't like direct linking, and often landing pages will have increase your earnings

Isn't FB they strict about landing pages?... Sorta like G.Adwords in a way? I was told that you need to have specific criteria on the landing page prior to getting approval.. like explaining what your offer is about, The fine print of what they're signing up for, Privacy policy,TOS, etc.. that is before getting their email or linking them to the offer. I had a Google rep tell me that about FB as well as Adwords. Just curious as to whether or not you can link the offer from FB to a standard squeeze page layout.
          Any info on that?

          Thanks Warriors!

It depends on the offer and even on the account (spend history), but, in general, direct linking isn't a good idea.

My affiliate manager tells me CPA offers will eventually get your account banned on Facebook. Does anyone have good experience in working around that issue?

    Hey Chris

If you're looking for a place to advertise your affiliate links you should check out Eleavers.

They let you advertise affiliate links and their traffic is very cheap but high converting.

    Hope this helps out!

Sure there's always a way to direct link and get away with it for awhile but you're much better off learning how to work with landing pages, especially for longevity purposes.
