I have done about 10-15 bookmarks and 5-10 blog commentings last night. It takes me to #30 on goolge from #20, I really wonder about it. But the sources which I have used are good authority sites. Any ideas, on what to do? How can I come back...... Help...

You can't judge that quickly. What you do now will affect you in the coming weeks and months (not days).

Probably your competitors are doing more than you ![]() Backlinking doesn't hurt so I don't think your backlinking is the reason of this downfall. Also, Google has plenty of data-centers and they usually take time to converge so you might be in 20th spot in some other data-center so just keep on building content, backlinking and things will be fine. If your site it new, then this is something usual and you should not worry much about it. |

Yes, give it time. If it is a new site it will bounce around. If you have more and quality backlinks than your competitors your site should bounce back and rank even higher than before. But sometimes it does take time depending on a lot of outside factors.

Ya, keep on adding backlinks daily, specially try to do more bookmarks + blog comments, that will give you a fast turn around. Best of luck.

Link Building is a long term game as has already been mentioned in this thread. I would just like to add that accelerated link building can have a negative impact as opposed to gradual and steady link building exercises. BTW, what is the keyword for which your rankings are rising and falling. Ranking cannot be generic. It is specific to a key phrase. Best ;-) | |

Its too early to judge the results. Just continue building some good quality backlinks from relevant sources and you could gain higher in your search engine ranks. SEO results cannot be expected overnight, you have to have patience to see the results favoring you.

You have to remember that all of those pages have to be cached/ or crawled by a search engine for that link to count. Also chances are that those links are rel=nofollow, thus will probable not "count".
