Hi there, I know there are various checkers to find out how many links a particular website has. How do you do this to check how many backlinks an Ezine article has. I did this before and it just showed the number of links ezine have overall and not specifically to that Ezine URL. I think there is a way to check this and hope someone can help. Thanks a million! |

I use https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/mysites to check, just put url of article and hit explore url and it will show you all the backlinks. Bryan |

Gosh, moneyland, you are really intent on building backlinks to your articles aren't you?? Anyways, to your question, if you're using Firefox just download SEOQuake to show you the links (L) under "Yahoo links". The overall you refer to will be under Yahoo linkdomains (LD). |

This is exactly what I was looking for, cheers Mastermind!! Yeh, I really want to crack this article thing this time round cos previously they have appeared then dropped out. I have just seen my competitor for a few juicy KW's and they have about 20,000 links on these articles thats why I have never been able to have these top spots!! The articles were in the most viewed so I guess they have got thousands of links from Ezine!! Just seen another decent KW position 1 and there was 1 link and number 2 has 4 links - didn't get this, so I looked at article and 2nd one with more links was not so optimised as well as KW didn't appear at beginning of article. Hoping I know now how I can attempt to reach the top spots!! Cheers |

moneyland, views to an article does not equal no of links. unless the anchor text is different, google will not count multiple links to a site or article. since we're using yahoo site explorer, keep in mind this is what yahoo sees. google has a somewhat different approach and they will never reveal every link they see. so yahoo site explorer is an estimate at best. as for articles that previously top google, when they are freshly submitted to ezine articles, they will rise to the top but they would normally fall off without any backlinks. hope some of this makes sense... |

Your welcome. It certainly is useful to check out your competitors links, and yes you are right being in the most viewed generates thousands more backlinks from ezines, I have had a few on most viewed and noticed this. Good luck on reaching your goal ![]() Bryan Quote:

Cheers guys for your replies..I know the challenge is getting over the hump into the most viewed section and then you are made...I guess there is no magic formula into getting there ...optimised article with optimised but more clickable title to get more views, like a question etc. If anyone has any tips here please throw them my way. Thanks again. |
