I've been trying niche sites for Adsense for a few months now, but haven't been using Micro Niche Finder. I would look at things like # of total sites for the phrase, then in quotes to find precise competition, # of backlinks, average PR on page 1 etc. I just got MNF and over in XFactor's $300/day thread saw that he uses it to look at strength of competition (he says he goes for sites under 20). Do you guys use it for this feature too? It seems to take into account a few variables, but how well does it work? I ask because a few of the niches I had picked don't show up as green in MNF. Also because I've started a few new sites that are under 10 in MNF, and I was wondering what number you guys consider safe (easy to be on page 1, ideally position 1-3). |

Is looking at the exact phrase count important if you're looking at the SoC?
