When it comes to page rank from one way backlinks how does it work when you are trying to beat out higher page rank links?? Lets say for instance one of my competitors currently has a link that is a PR 4 link...is it possible to beat out that link by XXX amount of PR1 links or is it only possible to beat a PR 4 link with another link of the same value or a higher value? Thanks this is not a trick question at all...just was wondering if a little army of pr1 links could be out 1 pr4 link.....thanks .....so for my answer i am guessing that one p1 link will beat out a pr4 link....thanks dburk |

Actually, SEO cannot be defined anymore, However, If you can get links from the pages where the PR is good and total number of outbound links on the page where link is there is less, that will be fine and you can easily beat your competitors.

Hi simpleonline1234, I'm trying to figure out if this is a trick question or not. If you goal is to have a higher PageRank, then a PR 1 will never be anything but PR 1. If your goal is to rank higher in the SERP then all that is required is one link. There are other requirements of course, but you only need a single link to be indexed and you can easily out rank most PR 4 pages by simply building a more relevant page. So, if this is a trick question, then I have called you on it. If you question was sincere then the answer is just "1". |
