Getting a Local Business Results Listing

Hello,

Any brick and mortar business owners on the forum know how to get a top listing in Google Local Business? I have a listing, but it's on page 3 for my main keyword.

When you look for a business, like "car repair shops," Google notes your IP location and serves car repair shop business listings in your vicinity, at the TOP of the SERP. That's what I need.

Thanks for any suggestions. This is driving me a bit crazy.
