Hi everybody, i just can't figure it out, perhaps you could help me. if i'm the first position in google for Weight Loss Diet will I be 1st (or ranked at all) for Best Weight Loss Diet? no the opposite: What if I'm first for Best Weight Loss Diet? how will i be ranked for Weight Loss Diet? I just can't find the logic behind this. if you comment please make sure this is the right information as i'm just so confused about it. Thank you Very much! |

They are both different phrases. Each one has a different first word to the phrase as well, and a 4 word phrase would be much easier to rank for than a 3 word phrase. You have to treat each phrase as their own "animal". Sure, if you rank for one, you can more easily rank for the other, but you still have to work on the other one. Just to give you an idea here are my rankings: #2 link directory #1 link directory script #2 link script #8 directory script |

The answer is yes. If you optimize for "cheap toy trains" and start link building for it. You will eventually start ranking for "toy trains" as well. For the simple logic of "anchor text" residing inside the link. If one of your pages is targeting 2 keywords, try creating an anchor text having both of them intelligently, and there you are, killing 2 birds with one stone. makes sense? Regards? |

You won't neccessarily be ranked no.1 for both of them, no. You will however be ranked somewhere fairly high as the main 'broader' phrase you'd hyperthetically rank top for. If though someone focused their backlinking ad content more around the 'best weight loss diet' then they may have more dominance with that phrase. What you would do though is simply do some backlinking for 'best weight loss diet', and make sure you had it someone within your page content... maybe more than once. This should see you near the top. It's a funny old game SEO, you never really know anything until you try it and see where you end up. |
