Is text link trading is banned by google ?

Is it true that the selling text link is strictly banned by google search? Someone told me that your blogs PR will down if you sell the link of your blog.
Please guide me above point?

Hi Sattarmalik,

No, it's their primary business model, Google makes most of their money selling text ads. Just make sure you label them as advertisements and make them nofollow and you wont have any problems with Google.

If you are really concerned then you can have Google sell your ad space for you through their AdSense program.
