Google love from an interesting place

I've been playing around with the forums on Topix: Your town. Your news. Your take.

I don't think I've ever seen something show up on Google quite as fast as a forum post at that site. Faster than Digg.

The Google spider must live there full time, I'm down to 5 minutes in my tests.

Back in my early days of internet marketing I was first starting to play around with the notion of not only getting backlinks from other sites but also trying to leverage their own SEO potential and I ran across Topix.

Looking back, what I was doing was nothing more than comment spamming but the bright side is that I STILL get converting traffic from those posts I made several years ago. I see it in the logs all the time. It's crazy but that site is spidered non-stop.

Hey Michael,

Maybe this site is just pinging like a maniac.
It usually takes just 5-10 minutes for my blog's posts
to come up in the SERP, so I don't see a reason to be
surprised over this website.

I was looking around the forums and I don't see anyone posting url's. Is it allowed?

They have a PR 8 ofcourse the bot lives there.

My page is a PR5 , and the bot comes every 30 minutes
