Default How long should you wait before backlinking to a new domain heavily?

Hey Gang,

I'm looking to purchase a new domain name, but I want to make sure I avoid the Google Sandbox by doing too much article marketing / social bookmarking / blog comments etc. too fast

If I was like 30 days to begin all that stuff, will that help to avoid the Google Sandbox (as opposed to doing it the first day etc.)?

Thanks!

I suggest you start promoting on the first day - couple of hours every day, that's not too fast

Google looks for "natural" behavior in everything related to websites. This includes linking. Unfortunately, natural is hard to quantify (for everybody except Google), so the next best thing is to try random patterns.

What's wrong with adding a backlink every day or so? Different times of day, different anchor text, different pages being linked to, etc. The good part is that with this approach, you can start right now. By the end of your first 30 days you can have some pretty good backlinking in place.

The slow, random drip feed approach isn't as easy or emotionally gratifying as the do-it-all-in-one-hour method, but it is believable, which is much more likely to get you past the Google guard dogs.

Try that and see what happens.

Cheers from warm and smiling Thailand,
Charles

You can start promoting ASAP but
do not over do it. Don't get 20 backlinks
a day, try to keep it slow and easy first
couple of weeks.

get the website, publish it (even if there is nothing on it), and let Google index it. Once it is indexed - you can let the fun begin.

Scale it for sure.

I try for 1 a day for a month the 2 a day for the next month. Then grow from there. The one thing no one has is the schedule that the spiders follow. I would do the same if you are going to use automated content as well.

If you're competing in the same niches I'm working then I recommend getting no more than a link or two a week.

Don't worry about it too much, just start linking. I launched a site the last week in June and cranked it right up and ended up on the front page of Google within a couple of weeks.

Dude, just concentrate on building your site, people base too much focus on offpage seo.. build your site to 200-300-400-500 pages long and the traffic will come, make sure you do all the onpage correctly, the rest will come easier down the road.

Just concentrate on 8-10 backlinks per week. Make it uniform for about 6- 8 weeks. Then go for 20 backlinks per week.

It's not a standardized plan but I hope it will work and look natural.
