Hello again Warriors. I know that its best to get a "(keyword).com" domain for SEO purposes, but that domain name is already taken for my particular long tail keyword. If I register a domain name like "easy(keyword).com", can I still get good SEO results, or does that affect SEO dramatically for that keyword? Second question: Is it ok if I am in South Africa and register a domain with a .co.uk TLD? And is that a good TLD to use? Thanks in advance. Nick |

having another word in the domain name will likely reduce effectiveness, but will still provide the benefits for SEO.

Using a dash might get the keyword you're targeting showing as its own word within the domain.... so easy-keyword.com may be a better bet.

I used a dash in my domain name and I rank on the first page of google. Don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it was a very competitive phrase.

try to be lucky and find a keyword that is a part of your phrase. So, if you have a website about selling cars, simply get "sellacar.com" instead of "car.com" or even "sellacaronlinefree.com" |

Having the keyword in the domain name is not as important as it used to be. Sure it helps, but remember that Google has over 200 criteria it uses to determine where a page should appear in the SERPs. PageRank is just one of them, and so is having the keyword in the domain name.

Let's say your promoting the all famous Acai Berry offer. I try to think of what are people searching for when they want to purchase the product. buyacaiberry.com freeacaiberry.com tryacaiberry.com etc, etc.. | |
