#1 for My Keyword Phrase over 20,100,000 Results...

Only 1000 searches per month on this term but amazingly 20,100,000 results with my site at #1 without quotes. #2 with quotes over 4,200,000 results.

Nice work! I am #2 and #8 for a term that gets about 9 million. And those aren't even my site, they are propeller and digg profiles that I set up.

It's actually pretty easy to do when the competition is horrible. Proof is above, a propeller site is in the #2 spot a day after it went live. It doesn't take skill to make a propeller page. So if it is in the #2 spot in one day, that means the competition is terrible.

So the moral of this story is, go after low hanging fruit and it's very easy to get the top spot(s).

Forget about stuff like that, it really isn't that significant. It sounds good and may be an ego boost, but in the real world it isn't about 20 million results or 4 millions results.

And forget about searching in quotes, that's almost meaningless.

Google only returns a maximum of 1,000 results per search. Period. So while those numbers sound impressive and can give you a sense of accomplishment, the truth is the whole thing is an ego booster and nothing more. When you get over that part of the equation and get serious about SEO and conversions and big sales numbers, then we're talking something worth bragging about.

Great work and i hope its working out well for you money wise too.

I see all too many people working hard to get number 1 rankings on keyphrases that really don't matter or wont produce the results they expect.

Oh and for all you people wondering how it was done.... simple.... backlinks!
