Is it illegal to promote a blog through Chatting?

one friend of mine has told me that i can market my blog through chatting on yahoo or anyother community like this..
Guys,I want some precious advices on whether Is it illegal to promote a blog through Chatting?

Well it depends what you blog is about and i doubt it would be illegal but possible against the rules, its like everything it what and how you do it.

I don't see why it would be illegal. Depends on the content of your site and how you promote it in the room...if you just spammed a chat room people might get annoyed.

right chat room, why not do a friendly self promotion?

just to get back at you. People should concentrate
on other things the warriors forum gives you and not
try and come up with what ifs. The best place to find
out if google allows something or not, is on their
adsense pages. If you think google may stick you, then
think of something else before you try it. Like I said,
the warriors forum is absolutely filled with the right stuff
to be doing, that I would not even try and come up with
something new before I exhausted everything else. And
I don't think you are ever finished doing the right things!

If you are asking people to go to your site and click any ad, will be against the policies and conditions of Adsense.
You can use different useful links to improve you traffic instead of chat romm.It may harm your value in the eyes of adsense.

Certainly NOT illegal (i.e., against the law) but yes each chat forum has it's own guidelines as to what kind of behavior they tolerate. Read their guidelines and just watch what others are doing for a while to get a feel for what is acceptable behavior in the particular forum you want to participate in.

P.S. If you only want to tell people to visit your blog and not contribute any other meaningful dialog in a chat, then I don't think you'll get a friendly reception at most places. You need to contribute something the group deems worthwhile and then tell casually tell people about your blog. No hard sells in social forums.

I am hoping that by illegal you mean against their rules. But I would assume it is all based off of how you go about it. If you just start going into rooms spamming, I would expect to get reported and banned.

If you casually mention it in the right situation, you should be better off.

talking about earning, blog urls and low CTR is not illegal
but forcing someone to click on your ads is 100% illegal
you must submit your articles on social sites and create back links.

what i only know is, it will only be illegal if and only if you click your own ads. How can someone could force you to click on your own ads on virtual messenger?! specially if you don't know them? threatening by using virtual guns?is that it?lol...and chain letters are sooo over...
