I was looking at my keyword rank stats just now and I'm trying to wrap my brain around this. I have been backlinking for 1 phrase, "Beat Making". With that phrase, im 46th in google. Now I noticed "Beatmaking" (no space) which I have not backlinked with at all, I am ranked #4. Are there any reasonable explanations for this? On my site, I NEVER use the term "beatmaking". I did find 2 instances of "beatmaking" on my blog catalog and folkd entries. Are they so powerful that they are getting me ranked? Or is something else going on... |

Without knowing much, it would sound like there's probably less competition for beatmaking, and those links did make an impact. If there's some kind of semi-decent search volume on that term, I'd try focusing my efforts there partially because of how close you are to the top.
