Ok I had an article ranking top 3, fluxuating between 1 and 3. The link that the article links to was killed yetserday as I killed the Squidoo account. The article then dropped today.. Would that be because of the url leading to Squidoo now comes up as a dead lens, and the normal Squidoo 404 saying that it was made by you? Also apart from helping me figure out the cause Im wondering if it is still possible to return that to the top when replacing the url? Thanks. |

Hi Intrepreneur, Your article is now linking to a page that no longer exists. That's likely the cause for your article's drop in rank. While replacing the broken link with a suitable substitute will help, there is a certain amount of trust that takes time to earn, so you article may not go back instantly, but over time it's likely. |

I'll give it a change etc, and see what happens, my guess is that ezinearticles are going to make it very difficult for me to change the resource box while staying on the same URL.
