Good info, looks like google is just trying to shut down ALL IMmers. funny thing is, theyre losing out on a ton of revenue. I know we spend close to 100k a month with them.

As I've stated before in response to this "slap" from Google, all of my review sites are still sitting pretty and going strong.

If you read Mark Ling's blog post, you'll find that most of his affiliate and review sites were also unaffected. The ones that were he examined closely and found that they weren't as relevant as they should be for his targeted keywords. That really doesn't sound like anything different than Google has been doing the past couple of years. Maybe they are just being a little more strict about it. That certainly doesn't mean the sky is falling and Google hates internet marketers. If they did, they wouldn't be running Adwords, since by definition everyone who uses it is an internet marketer.

I'm really happy for you that you weren't affected, but that is not the case for some of us. so could you please share with us what is it that made the difference? as i read from google TOS - it says they don't allow "bridge pages". so i just don't see how anyone could survive this as a review site is a bridge page as i see it. | |

I'd read Mark's blog and some others about the big slap that just happened. I agree with CWDSteve, not all affiliate review sites were affected and the sky is not falling. G just does not like thin sites. Do you know if the punished sites were on the same public IP as the non-punished sites? In other words, did they share the same web host? Google may have punished all of the registar's sites on the same IP. Just wondering.
