I have been using Adwords for years spending 5 figures a month and I simply am at a loss to what works and what does not work. I have tried everything I can possibly think of. Some campaigns work great, others get beeatch slapped all over the place. There seems to be no common thread. Google of course is cryptic and mysterious as usual. I have scoured the forums and this is happening to all kinds of websites with different criteria. Campaigns run well for years, straight forward websites, nothing tricky then slap. What is ironic many times the spammy websites seem to get away with stuff. After reading all the forums there simply seems to be no common thread. Everyone has their theories but everyone is guessing. So even if you try your hardest to follow the rules with Adwords do you think you can have success or is it just hit or miss? |

Managing campaigns for others, I'm certainly not guessing because it's their money being spent and I want to keep them as clients. Been working well so far. So to answer the question, yes, I've had success. There's a PDF file on my site called Adwords FAQ which you may find useful. |

In the campaigns that are going poorly, are there any commonalities in the analytics and traffic analysis. Sure the wording of the ad text is very important in ensuring your click throughs have been properly targeted, however once the visitor is on the site, then what happens. In the campaigns that are going well, are their landing pages structured more effectively? Have a generally more user-friendly website or checkout process?
