Interesting backlink question

Hello Warriors,

I have a question about backlinks. Let say I have an Italian site, or a site in any language different than English. If I build backlinks on English sites (Angela package, social bookmarking, etc) will they increase my SERP on the local Google version (google.it)? Or maybe I have to build backlinks only on Italian sites?

Hey P,

Build your links everywhere!

I have sites that are only relevant to US buyers but my backlinks have given very high ranks in Google UK (often much higher there than USA, which is more competitive).

In fact, with your 'international' quality backlinks, you should find it easy to beat the local Italian competition.

There are no matter for languages or domain extension(com, it)

There are important that "you get backlinks on your first targeted keywords"

from any extension.

it doesn't matter if you have a non english website. just build links.

As long as you have links with anchor text is your targeted keywords (in your case, both Italian and English), it doesn't matter what the TLD (top level domain) is.

Hello,
If you want back links from Italian websites you can find them on google in advanced search as ===>google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ei=4FZ0Svj4HeSStgfGy9WWCQ&sa=X&oi =spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=social+bookmarkin g+sites+site%3A.it&spell=1 so gets Italian sites for back links,but it does not matter you can also take links from English site

yes it's right, Or you can put your link into other site by putting it on your profile.

Yes, getting backlinks is useful. However, say you want to top on google.ca, So, if you can get links from ".ca" domains that will be more helpful than getting links from ".com"..... hope you got what I mean?
