I only put up my first website a few months back. When I constructed the site, a wordpress blog I have links at the bottom to realted posts within the category. So just 2 weeks ago, when it was getting a steady stream of traffic I removed the nofollow from those links. Now 2 weeks later search engine traffic is dead, not one visitor in 3 days. I am putting the nofollow back on to see what happens, but I can't really be certain until after that. Has anyone got any opinions on this? From looking on sites such as Squidoo, when you use internal links they seem to be made nofollow, and I'm thinking Squidoo know a bit.. Look forward to hearing some opinions on this. Well, most people were previously using nofollow to sculpt pagerank. But, since G changed the way they look at nofollow there are better practices around. You didn't' mention whether your rank for the term(s) dropped.. if so, then yes, it has something to do with that chance, if not, then perhaps the term is seasonal or was just experiencing an increased interest. |

What I don't understand is that if I should footer with it and return the nofollow tags. I think I will because it'll be a good test, and right now the site isnt totally profitable until I have added the ecourse which isnt ready yet. Still though more opinions please :-) Best Wishes Intrepreneur. | |
