Default Adwords - HA! Keep Your $3 Per Click - I Only Pay $0.03 Per Click!

Pay Per Click:

If you are going to earn money paying for traffic then you must know
the maximum that you can pay before your campaign starts losing
money.

I'll use the clickbank product as an example.

If you have a clickbank product that pays a commission of $22 per
sale and we factor in a product needing 100 clicks to make that
sale (the true amount is likely 200 clicks).

Here's the math, $22 divided by 100 clicks equals = $0.22
This means the maximum that you can bid on a keyword is $0.22
to break even. Of course, if you're bidding $0.15 per click then
you're making $0.07 profit per click.

This is why finding cheap great sources of traffic is where your
pay per click meal ticket lies.

Bidding on keywords in adwords is many times over a dollar. This
is why I recommend starting in places like adbrite.com until you
make a couple dollars. With adbrite.com you can start out with
$0.05 per click. I have campaigns on adbrite.com that is driving
hundreds of clicks and averaging $0.035 per click. Nice!

There is a great tool ( google.com/sktool ) that you can use to find
cheap long tail keywords for you adwords campaigns.

Here's the difference between CPA sites and clickbank.

EPC!!! This stands for earning per click

As a ratio the goal is always to have 1 sales per
100 clicks. If you have a product on clickbank that
your commission is $22 dollar per sale.

A lil math for yaah, $22 divided by 100 clicks equals = $0.22 EPC
(earning per click)

The average clickbank product pays $0.30 to $0.40 EPC

You will find numerous CPA offers that pay $1.00 EPC and more!

Hope that makes sense?

Cheers

That's actually a pretty good post.
Explains things quite nicely.
However, some will pay for $3 a click:
Insurance, mortgage, student loan, etc.
and do quite nicely. Perhaps even paying more.
You obviously with a clickbank product want to
avoid this. There are other products like clickbank
that make you $75 or more. It's all relative.
But your post was good as it should open up people's
eyes as to what they should be looking out for.
It will take many clicks to equal one sale. By reiterating
this fact, you make it clear to people to watch the price
they pay. Too many people get shinola and think adwords
doesn't work. It works, but you have to work it.

Agreed

This post was primarily for those marketers looking to
understand a little more about budgeting for PPC. Adwords,
is not always the best starting place for a beginner. Many
people make good and great living off adwords. The key
is in planning.

Cheers

I'm interested in your AdBrite conversion...i can get good traffic for some keywords at less than 10 cents a click, but my assumption is that this traffic is similar to the content network, where I routinely get a half percent conversion.

What's you (or anyone else's) conversion on AdBrite? I realize that it's relative to niches, but I am curious as to traffic quality.

Great post, will definitely put it to good use.

Here's a question though..
Is directlinking to CPA offers allowed with adbrite?

Well, good post, but also consider the quality of the traffic. Adbrite has so-so quality. I mean, there are PPV and ppc networks that can give you 0.01 clicks, but no one will buy.

Adbrite is good for a certain kind of audience, and also works a lot better if you target the websites instead of just keywords.
