This has never happened to me before, but for some reason, one of my sites got indexed by google with the only the domain name--no title or description. I am using all-in-one-seo, but I have no idea what the deal is. Can someone tell me why this happened and how I can change it so I can get on the first page of Google? Thanks! |

The reference to all-in-one-seo makes me think this is a WP blog/site. Did you check the Privacy settings in your WP? |
| In the first half of the year we are supposed to work for the taxman. I think that's a mistake. Help me to get rid of the taxman ASAP - thanks! (You, too, should make less mistakes!) | |

| Banned War Room Member | Yep checked the privacy settings--all is good there. This site has low competing pages..there is no reason it shouldn't be indexed high. I have done over 40 backlinks on high PR pages, social bookmarks, RSS feeds including Feedagg and Feedburner, submitted a sitemap, and pinged. Don't know what the crap is going on!

Hi belgirl. I have often seen this when a 302 redirect has been in place for 30 days or more. Check for 302 redirects in your http header status. Redirect Checker |

Brand new site, so I don't think this would apply. Quote:

disallow in robots.txt? It has happened to me before, and it was because I forgot to change my robots.txt |

No if your site is indexed then it is nothing to do with robots.txt, google webmaster etc... did you see the title of your page on your browser... try to deactivate and activate the plugin and see if there is any difference... . If Google still does not index the title, try use platinum SEO instead. One question, did you change your title recently? |

Haven't changed the title, and the robots.txt looks correct. I will try deactivating and activating the plugin, but my other blog is using all-in-one-seo and is number 3 in the search engines...

Well I wouldn't be concerned except that: a) it's been like that for over a week and b) the competition is low enough that it should have been indexed correctly within hours of the sitemap being submitted. Well of course, that is according to Nick's WSO at: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...-1-3hours.html |

Hi belgirl, It seems apparent, based on many recent reports, that Google's latest algorithm update is much slower at updating their index. I'm not sure if this is intentional or they are having some sort of issue. Have you observed the googlebot in your server logs crawling your website? I would wait another week before becoming concerned. If you haven't already verified this site in Google Webmaster Tools I would do this and keep an eye on the diagnostics section for any crawl errors. |

It would really help if you gave a link, but are you using Javascript, iframes or Flash?

Well everyone, I just took a look and I am now on the first page of Google! Yippee!! I have a feeling that Google is just being slow indexing sites as of late...Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I also think that the slow indexing is the culprit here. as suggested by it is better of you can wait 10-12 days more and then have a look.

Hmmm don't quite understand that, I'm also using a WP blog on my own domain with all-in-one (same as the OP) and was indexed within 24 hours as normal with only a few inbounds, maybe the spider in your area is slower than normal. Irrelevant I guess since all is good now.
