With a magazine-style WP site, is this the correct way to implement your strategy:?

I've compiled a dozen keywords that match your explained profile (<10 mil broad, <50k exact, and <10k allintitle).
Using these keywords, I write articles as posts.
Then link building to the inner page (mysite.com/post).


By matching the profile, and from your experience, how much link building to the inner page--and time--will it take to reach page #1.

Of course, SEO is not too predictable, but are we talking simply 15-25 PR4^ backlinks, submitting article to 20 directories, and perhaps TheRichJerksNet's bookmarking WSO, among others... or something closer to doing that, repeatedly week after week for 3 months?


And some quick newbie questions:
My keywords are all two words, not three. Does this matter?
Does back linking to my homepage help the inner pages climb up?

I think you might need to read my post on the filter of competition again...

I have 2 sets of rules, one for main site, another for linkwheel sites.

I don't really care about that how many backlinks the site need, I just throw in all the backlinks I have, for instance 1,000 High PR back links!

It doesn't matter how many words, you just keep your competition filter clear and that is good to go!

I normally let my site go for highly competitive keywords - 200K exact match and 50K allintitle, that is a lot!

However, those articles on linkwheel - 50K exact match + 10K allintitle.

With 1,000 High PR links to every linkwheel and main site, I will rank high for most keywords if not all, and flooded with thousands of visitors everyday!

You can build as many links as you want, that just show Google how popular your site is, it won't get you banned!

Are You Sure?

Absolutely! When your site is new, the most important factor to not get filtered is the number of post you update everyday, not how many links you get.

What Do You Mean No. of Posts?

When your site is new, you must keep your post number down. Maximum 1 post per day and after 2 months, you can increase to 2 post / day.

In these 3 months, keep the post low and your site is OK...

I have 1,000 Back Links Resources, Should I Do it At Once?

I would recommend you spread it across 5 days or more, that would look more natural...

Nevertheless, if you build all links at once, and the next day none, you may trigger Google "probation" system; You get a lot of visitors for 1 day or 2 days but the visitors dropped significantly in the follow days...

If this happens, just find more High PR authority links, and keep building it until you don't experience Google Dance.

What is Google Dance?

Some sites may experience result floating up and down over few days, and may dropped out of the result for a period of time, that's Google Dance.

Don't freak out and pay too much attention, just keep building links, it will stay and stay long, eventually!

The strategy and reasons behind link wheel and Loz, I think is the same! You link to each other to give them some link juice for ranking, if you don't link them, it is ok, you just want traffic and link juice back to your main site!

It depends on how competitive the keyword you are after, I am throwing my maximum links to all web 2.0 properties and also all links to my main site. Most of the keywords I am going after are highly competitive and I also want a lot of link juice to my main site.

If you just start out, with minimum time and budget, you can try 100 links to each properties, and all links to your main site, as your site starts to making profit, increase links to all properties...

My main site has not been changed at all; it is a static site consisting of 5-6 pages of high quality, fully unique content. The web 2.0 properties also vary their anchor text and are deep linking.

This site is brand new (about 2 months old now). After 2-3 weeks of setting up the link wheel, my site showed up on page 2 of the main keyword's search result, but it's now been sandboxed for a month and a half, showing up on page 50+ or not at all. The site is still indexed though.

The keyword I'm targeting is not very competitive.

Exact phrase: 22,000
inanchor: 17,000
intitle: 52,000
inurl: 27,000

What can I do now? Also what trick can you do that gets your out of the sandbox instantly? Thank you...

PM send. Using the method I show you should get your site out in a week.

Also check your Google webmaster tool, it normally will tell you why your site is filtered.

However, you should keep building high PR links, eventually it will back and you will rank high!

If after 2 weeks your site still in the filter, send me all the details - including your keywords and links to each url, I will try to find out the problem for you...!

link wheel = web 2.0 sites.

You can put your forum post there, but you should rewrite the content or you need a bit more backlinks to rank well... because the content is already exists.

Use keyword rank tracking program like web ranking or rank tracker.

All search result is relatively accurate, I use Market samurai for more accurate prediction.

Don't be greedy, you need to segments your keywords, group them into category and pick which to put on link wheel, and which to put on your websites.

Create content for them. You need to plan your strategy accordingly, not all keywords the same.

There are 3 type of keywords:
1. Research Keywords - Anxiety, Anxiety Treatment
2. Compare Keywords - Anxiety Treatment Review, Product Review
3. Buying keywords - Purchase Product, Buy Product, Product Discount, Product Promo

For affiliate marketer, we only choose comparison and buying keywords, the research keywords should be left alone for Adsense type of sites...

I really just need to get this off my head to make sure I’m thinking the way I’m supposed to be thinking about some of these things and how its all supposed to work. Everything is tangled in my head at the moment. I just need to untangle it.

The way I look at it is that if I’m promoting something using a squeeze page or something similar, it’s different than the way you would promote a blog. Probably all the same things are mentioned in getting traffic to both, but a different approach is taken.

This is how I look at it. If I’m promoting a landing page, I would have to concentrate in using certain methods to gain traffic witch is much different then when getting traffic to a blog. Since a landing page doesn’t have much content, wouldn’t it be a waist to try and get the landing page/squeeze page on the first page of google? I never see these kinds of pages in the first pages of google. I always see only blogs in google. Saying this, doesn’t it change the way you get traffic and how you manage the hi pr links that you have at hand? (Links from Anglela for example), meaning you don’t try to build backlinks directly to your landing page to make it rise in search engine ,but get backlinks to, hi PR sites like web 2.0 sites, ezine and use the linkwheel that you have mentioned. And since you are not trying to rank your landing page in google but just focus on getting traffic, this would mean that if those hi PR sites are used to get you traffic, well written articles must written on these hi pr sites in witch in the end will send them to your link. Pretty much it comes down to being able to write good articles. Once these articles have been written on these other hi places, you can then treat these sites as your main site in a sense and try to get them well ranked in google and not your squeeze/landing page. Links will then be build to these hi PR sites to get it well ranked in google. So in the end all the backlinks that you will be building will go to other sites and not directly to your squeeze page. Also, Is building link to your ezine article to get it well ranked a bad idea?

There are some other collection, just look at WSO should find many good stuff!

If blogging is your main focus, use comment and track back traffic.

1. You can easily setup the blog permalink to more user friendly link, and do on page optimization using AllInOneSEO plugin.
2. Wordpress blog will automatic ping search engine.

You are just making a simple system into complicated matter.

There are reasons to build content to different web 2.0 sites, you must try and think it through.

I recommend you either trial and error, learn from mistakes or just use a simple Authority blogging system.

The answer is already in many posts of this thread, I just don't know how to make it more simple to you.

Ok, try this:

We spread content all over web 2.0 sites to gain Good backlink, because Google like different IP, different hosting, different domain name provider when it comes to giving link power to a site.

Don't make it complicated, I would recommend you start from small niche blog, practice this method and mastered it, then scale it up for any kind of blogging, including authority blogging.

The key to success is not using "which method", is ACTION!

1. Article Marketing
2. PPC

These traffic is targeted and your opt-in will be a lot higher. I prefer Article Marketing, use the method I outlined in the previous post, write article to get traffic and send them to opt-in.

Ewen Chia makes money using this **simple** method, he don't use complicated Link Wheel, and it works like a charm!

I apologize for causing you information overloading, please don't "think" anymore, take action and review the result, see what is working and what is not, refine your skills from mistakes.

I reckon you will fail 3 times with any kind of methods, and learn fast from it!

Please use the power of one, focus and focus yourself to:

• One Method of Traffic
• One Type of Blogging
• One Market
• One conversion

**We should cloak the affiliate link, no matter where.

Building list should be done on any type of marketing when possible.

I don't normally use list to build long term relationship (Which I should), I just give them some great content, and start recommending product on each email, you can learn this by opt-in to other marketer list, copy their strategy!

If you want to use linkwheel strategy, start testing linkwheel in small scale, write 2 long tail keywords' articles and post them to squidoo and ezinearticles, back links to them and your site, see the result then scale up.

Just do it!

Use keyword rank tracking program like web ranking or rank tracker.

All search result is relatively accurate, I use Market samurai for more accurate prediction.

Don't be greedy, you need to segments your keywords, group them into category and pick which to put on link wheel, and which to put on your websites.

Create content for them. You need to plan your strategy accordingly, not all keywords the same.

There are 3 type of keywords:
1. Research Keywords - Anxiety, Anxiety Treatment
2. Compare Keywords - Anxiety Treatment Review, Product Review
3. Buying keywords - Purchase Product, Buy Product, Product Discount, Product Promo

For affiliate marketer, we only choose comparison and buying keywords, the research keywords should be left alone for Adsense type of sites...

I've built link wheels on a few other sites of mine. Two in particular were done on brand new domains, and they seemed to have done very little. But at least they are not sandboxed (yet!). These two sites are showing up on page 1 or 2 of their respective keywords, so perhaps they just need more links.

But, another site that I built a linkwheel with was on a 2 year old domain of mine, that already had about 400-500 backlinks. I built a linkwheel with about 15 web 2.0 properties, and sent about 100 links to each web 2.0 property. It's been sandboxed for 2 months now!

Do you think I am sending too many links to the web 2.0 properties? Should I just send a few bookmarks, like 5-20 links instead of 100+? I am sending the links with Linkvana, which seem to be VERY poor quality, even possibly dangerous.

I built 60 sites (100% unique content) starting during May and June to test with Linkvana. I sent about 100 links to each site over 2 months, and they are ALL sandboxed and basically getting no traffic at all.

I already state the reasons they are filtered, just ask yourself this question:

1. Why would Google sandbox you when there are many sites with thousands of links coming in each and everyday and still stay strong?

2. If Google will sandbox a site because of it getting too much links, I think I already sandbox hundreds of my competitor sites (I did try to sandbox them ), but they not only stay strong and actually rising!!!!

3. Tell me if you already try it on your competitor, didn't you? And why not?

If your site got filter, it might be temporary, or it might because of other reasons, please check your webmaster tool.

Did you try to find out the problem? "Building links too fast" is not a problem, but building all links with the same keyword or without any native url (URL without keyword) are big red flag.

I have told everyone that is not the case... What if I tell you I am testing a spam software that can send my site 200K links in few days and the site is still standing straight up, what is the big deal if compared to what you've done here??

When Michael Jackson dies, how many links do you think those blogs and news site have....?

Last advice:

Keep building High PR back links, don't stop! Do it until you see your site is out of the box, don't sit there and pray, just do as I show you, it will be back.

BTW, I had never seen Google penalize my site more than 3 months. My site got filtered because I've done those "stupid things" in my previous post...

This is an excellent read particular the part about doing keyword research by back engineering your competition first then firing up your favorite key word tool.

I have a question about on site linking. There has been talks about Silo style websites with catagories and there are many on both sides of the fence who have there various opinions.

Would Wikipedia be a good example to use as far as on page linking? Is Wikipedia a good reference to build a Silo style site with internal linking?
