I would make a couple changes, but it's not my site, i have no incite to the behavior of your visitors. If you have enough traffic you'll be able to make subtle changes and see a difference in your ad performance, if you have very little then the changes may not immediately be apparent on adsense.
Again, just suggestions here: Your sidebar skyscraper is in the perfect position, the only thing i would change is the url color, blue blends well and works for the title color but for the url color, it gives away that a user will be exiting your site if they click on the link(try black or even grey.) You want the user to focus on the link title, the blue url below draws their eye and may turn them off. The adsense links at the top are nice(and you may want to keep them too!) but i think a 300x250 right below the first post title may would perform better. Keep in mind that this may mess up the flow of your site, if you think it doesn't look good them you can try rapping the first post text around the add by adding the 300x250 in a div and float it to the left. That's all i got

If you click into the articles the ad layout is different, could you please give your opinions on that. Also please check my other blog in my signature the weightloss blog as I have changed around the ads on there.

If that's what you've got, clicks will be scarce.
You seriously need a 728x90 ad at the top. I'd make your right ad images only. Then I'd put a box ad at the bottom. If anybody is curious, I do the following for articles. 728x90 ad at the top, just below a similar size header graphic, that is text only. Then, in the middle of the article, a 468x60 ad that is images only. At the end of the article, 336x280 text only. After much working over a couple of months, this looks and performs best for me. You will get a lot of opinions. I am not a fan of having the colors blend in like you have. I always recommend the open air colors, but change the link to grey. Always a plain white background. Great advice here, I will wait until I have a few more views and then deploy all and see what happens.
Any other ideas? Quote:

Every site is different, so testing is the key! I have found that blending the ads in the content is very effective.Check out these tips: Make Money Online - Ask.JoelComm.com: Find the AdSense
