I don't want certain pages of my site indexed in the search
engines?

What is the code that is used so that the search engines
don't follow, etc.?

Place this in the root folder of your site:

<meta name="robots" content="noindex" />

You could simply tag each page with something like:

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">
