Default Should I NoFollow my Wordpress Categories Navigation?

Does it make sense to NoFollow my Categories Menu in Wordpress for PR sculpting?

I have all my keywords that are in the post itself being transformed into links to the proper tag pages and the tag pages are what I'd like to show up in the Search Engine results over time for those keywords.

Every tag (which I am promoting) has a corresponding category (which I am not promoting) in the nav menu which means, I think, that I am telling the search engines that not only is my tag page to be associated with that keyword, but that my category page is as well.

This can't be good for SEO, right?

What drawbacks might there be to installing a pluging to NoFollow the entire nav menu?
