I have a product on Clickbank. When affiliates link to my site via their hoplink, does that promote my site Google's eyes, or does it promote Clickbank? Thanks -- hope this question isn't too newbie-ish. |

Yea, they do help site ranking. Clickbank's site. Not yours. You might be able to get some script that can cloak their links for them using your domain and then it will be your domain in their affiliate links but don't ask me what script cause I've never sold on Clickbank so I've never done this. |

It will only help Clickbank - and as such it's not that valuable. Affiliate links are pretty poor, but if you get a gazillion of them like Amazon does then they really make a difference. You can host your own affiliate program (on top of clickbank) and list it in directories. You might get some affiliates and even if you don;t at least you will get backlinks from the directories. |
