how many backlinks do you build for one site in one day so that Google don't penalize you?

I'm pretty new to building backlinks and I've a question for fellow marketers here.

Roughly how many backlinks do you build for one site in one day?What's the healthy rate so that Google don't penalize you?

I've built 10 backlinks in 2 days (5 links each day)for one particular article of mine and i think that I've been penalized by GOOGLE as my ranking has dropped from 11th to 14th. Any experts here care to explain things for me?

Roughly how many days and backlinks will it take to see any changes in your site's ranking?

5 links/day is too few, not too many.

from 11 to 14, statistically, they are the same, not drop at all.

You wont be penalized for doing that many backlinks...it would literally take hundreds or thousands to get google's attention and for them to penalize you..I have done up to 100 per day and not gotten penalized..I average 20-30 per day right now but I would do more if I had more time..there was a very good explaination about the myth of a google penalty for building too many backlinks in Angela's package..it explains it better than I can.

One side note though..you do want to remain consistent with how many backlinks you build per day..if you do 10 then keep doing about 10..or 20 but remain consistent. good luck

5 backlinks a day is virtually nothing. There are sites that get thousands of new backlinks in a day without any penalty, and Google doesn't crawl every single site every single day, so even then not all of those links are discovered at the same time.

Don't fret, you were not penalized for backlinks. Sites move up and down in the index all the time, even without making any changes to your site at all.

If you are using software you are much more likely to be detected, it's just a matter of time. The search engines will study your software using heuristic methods and develop filters to devalue all your backlinks. For that reason, many people using such tools will go wild trying to get as many links as possible before they all get devalued.

Backlinks built using automated software usually don't last long. Merit based backlinks are more resilient.

I don't think google penalizes backlinks at all.

Even if you build 100k spammy backlinks in 5 minutes.

The reason being, everyone would be using it to knock out their competitors.

You can't go and build thousands of backlinks for your competitor site to take him out, the big brother has taken it into consideration.

I agree with popi. Spamming out your competitors would be possible with backlink penalties. Google has to have some system figured out though as sites are sandboxed.

Yes you are right, no penalty, however they can have most or all of those backlinks devalued.

If your backlinks is high PR, you will be awarded all link value after you gain trust rank, non will be de-value...

Yeah, I agree with these guys. 5 or 10 backlinks is nothing. The only time I've had problems with too many backlinks was when I payed someone to submit some sites to 1000 website directories, and he did it all in just a couple days. In that case my established sites were fine, but new sites were sandboxed.

I disagree with Popi thought. Google does remove sites from their index completely when thousands of spam backlinks are posted. If they get a lot of spam complaints about links to your site, they will delist you. But that shouldn't be a problem for social bookmarks and link exchanges, Hub page backlinks, etc.

There`s no maximum. Otherwise all the sites that put up some latest greatest celebrity news on their websites would be penalized for too many backlinks in no time at all.
