Default How I Grabbed Google by the Cajones, Didn't Let Go and Have 5 Spots In the SERPS for 1 Keyword

Okay kiddies,

Getting listed and owning 5 spots out of 10 in Google is not half as hard as so many people want to make out in the search engine optimization game here.

Here's a simple case study of one keyword I went after on a very part time basis. And by part time I mean less than 1 hour a week over a 6 week period.

And I'm going to reveal the keyword and the niche to prove that I know what I am talking about.

1. Find an affiliate program on your favorite marketplace/network/private vendor - wherever you can find an affiliate offer that works for you.

Action step: I went to clickbank.com, liked the Power of Conversational Hypnosis affiliate offer and decided to begin promoting it.

2. Read through the sales letter. See if you can generate some keyword ideas and modifers on your own (what keywords would trigger people to buy, not just keywords where someone wants information - words like buy, cd, book, program - these are trigger words people wanting to buy will use when searching).

Action step: I found words like "conversational hypnosis cd" or "conversational hypnosis training" by utilizing Google suggest.

3. Now, don't actually open up your favorite keyword tool. Instead begin typing up your term in Google search. Don't hit enter yet. Look for the keyword phrases Google suggests and take note of that. Why? Google is telling you exactly what people are wanting to search for. Why make it hard for yourself?

Action step: I opened up Google, went through the motions and find out the exact terms people were using.

The keyword I have 5 spots in Google is "conversational hypnosis cd" so you can verify for yourself. These are the sites I posted content to.

I'm letting you know now that those all lead to articles that point back to my Squidoo lens and that is what has the live affilite link. None of these themselves are active affilite links.

Here are the 5 properties that I am ranking for. And yea quite frankly I know a lot of people would think why in the world would I ever want to give away my niche. I'm not worried. I've made $100 commission sale. I've not invested a lot of time or energy into this. I did it more as a case study/show of proof for SEO clients I am working with.

"conversational hypnosis cd" has 30,400 competing pages.

I have 5 spots in Google for that phrase all on free properties popular with Google. Now you know my secret.

Take note of the competition and post on the sites they are on as well as everything else you can possible put content to.

No secrets left behind.

If you got any questions as to what else I exactly did by all means to get 5 pages for one keyword on Google shoot me a PM.

So go grab Google by the cajones and make them give you good rankings for your keywords.

That's a well thought out plan and good results. How many sales have you made?

The number of searches shown in Google's tool is an average of 91. Based on my experience any term with that low of searches won't produce much traffic.

Getting one of the top three positions is always a good thing. But if you don't generate revenue, why bother.

In Google there are only 30,500 results for conversational hypnosis cd (without the quotes). You put up articles on properties with a high pr, with a topic with low content inventory.

How could you not rank?

This should not work with anything with a lot of competition in google. You can't duplicate this with make money from home.

Yes, the properties that I used are mostly web 2.0 style. I did rank well for them because it was a low tail keyword.

I have several other keywords I targeted to so I may not necessarily have made that $100 commission from any one of these. I did this post to demonstrate the cabailities of what you can do using web 2.0 propertiers. Also the article for conversational hypnosis cd is a spun article, 30% unique variation of each kind. So duplicate content? You can throw that myth right out the window.

I also bookmarked each of these sites several times and pinged them as well. So yea there was a bit of 'extra' work in it, but outside of that I haven't done anything to crazy or spent nights in front of the computer trying to spam the total hell out of Google with links galore (not yet anyway).
