Default Using website content for ezinearticle content?

Hi,

im wondering what the Google will do to you if you use content on your website as content for articles.

I have done this recently and have not noticed any ill effects yet. I submited the articles first then I used the content in the articles to build my website.....so far everything seems ok.

I think I did this backwards though, I should have built my website first then used the content on my website (after all pages were indexed) for articles.

Basically im tired of rewriting everyhing and think I could get alot more done just using the content on my site for article content. So could I hurt the rankings of my website by using the exact same content from my site as articles?

I think it could, in the sense that either ezinearticles (or another site that takes your articles from ezinearticles) could gain more "authority" for that particular page than your own, and your page would be bumped into the supplemental pages, like what happens with a lot of PLR minisites.

Why not just outsource the writing and get someone to rewrite all your articles before submitting to ezinearticles?

hmm, maybe its worth it? I imagine I can get a rewrite done for a good bit cheaper than a normal article price. The question is if the rewrite will be unique enough in the first place.

Perhaps I should just go ahead and get unique articles written and use them for all of my advertising means. I would not put them on my site to be safe, but instead submit them to the top 10 article directories, hubpages, squidoo lens, yahoo answers etc.

I suppose this would be the safest route to go to ensure the content on my site is 100% unique. Sure it would cost a little extra but its a one time fee for alot of content to use in my advertising efforts, because I suppose having the same content thats on my site at 10 other article directories could have an effect?

But at the same time I have to wonder how my site would get a penality. I say this because what if say "Joe" comes to my site and steals my content, he then uses it to blast out to 1000 article directories, how could this hurt me? If this was the case then all m competetion would be doing this to drop my ranks.

So im really confused, I hate to spend the extra time and money to outsource articles when I could just use the content thats on my site. If anyone else has any thoughts on this I would be grateful. One side of me just wants to be safe so that I do not waste weeks building backlinks for a site that will be penalized only because I didnt want to spend an extra $50 for 10 articles.

The way round you have done it is not good.

I do it the other way around and take articles on my site and put them on to ezine, however I do take a stb at a re-write of above 50%. I have found no ill-effects of doing it this way. I use the articles on ezine for referrals rather than anything else.

I know what you mean, re-writes be ardious, but no longer than 45 mins; just weigh it up.

Cheers

I don't know if mine were penalized, but a couple of my minor blogs were already on the first page and then the ezinearticle became higher in the search results for the same keywords, so I lost traffic.

hmm, I dont think its worth the risk then. I think I will just outsource 10 articles and use them. You can do alot with 10 articles when it comes to advertising, im not worried about blogs, hubpages and squidoo lens having the same content.

Yea I think I will just outsource them, I dont need something going wrong here just because I did not want to spend $50,lol.
