Hi warriors, I have a niche website which doesn't rank well for the chosen keyword. I searched the first 10 pages but couldn't find it. The website is about 3 months old and has several backlinks and keyword optimized content. Now, this morning I submitted a free press release containing that keyword and it already ranks on page 4 !!! I mean this is crazy I just wrote it this morning. And my other website is not ranking. It is indexed because I searched xxxx.com and found it but it doesn't rank well. What can I do and why is tat happening ? Thakns in advance D. |

The reason is that the PR website has a high page rank, longer age, has several websites linknig to it and using its information, and that they use RSS to syndicate fast. Be patient and keep at it.

In my experience, it is better to have few backlinks on the same niche rather than several sites that is not related to your site. If you can target DMOZ to include your site then it will rank better. However, it will take time to include your site in DMOZ. Ross |

I have found that when I promote a site using web 2.0 properties, that they will rank higher and faster than the money page. But if I kept at it in due course the money page would outrank the 2.0 sites. It may be the same for PRs. Just keep doing more of them until you dominate page 1.

Be sure it is not a saturated niche. You can research your niche through Market Samurai.

You should add some quality and unique articles. Also you should promote your site with a small ad campaign so people will find about your site.

People are likely to link to you if the press release is relevant, interesting or pertinent. Google thinks highly of this kind of approach, as it involves no manipulation of the search engines and relies on other people linking to you. If your press release is good, you can get strong relevant links from people. But not everybody can do it well as u have did. So what's youe key to do so?? |

Well, I really don't have a special tactic. I just wrote the press release and made sure that it looked like a press release and not like an ordinary article. And I also used my keywords about 3 times in the press release. That's basically it. No special technique here. Greetings D. |

Hi D. If you're willing to share the url for your site and the keyword phrase you are trying to target it would help us to give you some more specific feedback. |
