I get different results from every backlink checker I use. Anyone know of a truly good one?

I would think most checker tools are getting data from yahoo, google, or msn. so, maybe no tool is better than them. david |

| Site Explorer - Yahoo! Site Explorer Yahoo do a good job. Use search status plug-in to speed up the process. |

Sorry to discourage you - but you are looking for something that is impossible. You should understand that no matter what tool you choose, you can see "just a portion" (reasons explained in this thread - Why Backlink Checking is Simply Impossible - Video) So, either get used to that because "a truly good one" simply cannot exist - search engines are against it and they are the only reputable source of info about backlink checking. Even the lovely yahoo tool (that I prefer using) is also showing just a portion. |

I agree with FreeTraff that you won't find one that will really tell you how many backlinks you have. I have found that Yahoo! Site Explorer gives the most complete picture but also occasionally run a search on Google like this - site: mydomain.com Often it will show links not showing up in Site Explorer. |
