Lightbulb SEO "Language Awareness" Week - Join the March!

- Search Engines and "Language Awareness" -

When a search engine is scanning, sorting, and ranking sites it's hard to know which programing languages it can read, and whether or not it values them all equally.

For example: Can a search engine read link anchor text used to access content in an RSS Feed? And if it can, would that sort of link be as valuable in terms of indexing as an in content body HTML link?

Knowing the answers to questions like these depends on the understanding of the programming languages behind them.

So, join in here for -SEO Language Awareness Week- and share with us what you know.

I'll add my piece here - Search engines can't read flash. This is entirely/partially because it is largely graphics based. I don't know if this is true of every aspect of the language, but I've never heard different.

Now you go!
