Default Exploiting adsence?

I'm sure this is not an old tactic and wether it works or not i don't know (cos i haven't tried it).

"Insurance" has an estimated cost per click of around 11 bucks (according to google)

So if you could isolate a searched term such as "insurance in texas" or a similar term that gets relatively well searched but with not much competition, and sent people to a webpage where you have articles/peices of advice with the term "insurance" throughout, would that not then bring up insurance ads on your site and generate a high cpc for us?

Or is it a matter of the higher we rank for our article/site will determine how much (or little) we get per click?

Sure this is basic stuff but i'd never thought much about adsense and wondered wether this kind of thing is what people do.

from my experience, price per click is depend on keyword that you target and the source of your traffic. let say you keyword is "insurance in texas", your article/content must related with this keyword. i belive you can get high CPC if your visitor come from texas. because the advertiser for this keyword maybe targeting user from texas only. if user from other place came to your site, maybe they didn't see any ads which is relavent with "insurance in texas".

Hi laurenceh,

First you should be aware that the CPC for the Content Network will generally be much lower than the CPC for the Search Network.

If you have multiple ad units and each ad unit can contain up to 5 ads. You will often receive clicks that cost a tiny fraction of what the top position ad costs.

Finally, you will only be paid your share of the revenue not all of it. So a keyword with $11.00 CPC for search might pay you a mere $0.25 for your AdSense account.
