Hello everyone, I hope it's okay if I ask a question when it's only my second post... It's just that I'm getting frustrated with this. I have a new (started in July) site on a Halloween-related topic. So far the Adsense ads have got 9 clicks on 5 different days and *none* of them have earned anything. Not a cent. They're being recorded, along with the CTR, but not earning. I have a number of sites with Adsense on them and have *never* seen this problem. No idea what to do. I tried inserting new code and as far as I can tell, the domain name isn't banned. Google's no help since their guide only says no money means the clicks were invalid. Okay, one or two, I can see, but every single one? For 10 days (from first click to latest)? Any ideas what might be wrong? Could it be the ad positioning (upper left side bar) or something in the code (it's Wordpress based) that's making the clicks seem invalid? Thanks very much in advance. |

This has also happened with one of my websites and there were 28 clicks but no money. but, one day there were 0 clicks and I had earned $0.35. One more thing is that there was a discussion about this on DP (I am sorry, i don't remember the link to it). Some said that it happens sometime and none of your clicks get counted as valid (May be a technical problem with Adsense system) |

Thank you so much for mentioning that DP thread! (I can't post the link because of my post count, but the DP post is titled "Im getting clicks but no money???whats wrong with adsense" for anyone else interested.) The solution was in that thread. Simple: I forgot to add this site to my list of allowed sites. I checked in my account and sure enough, there was a warning that an unauthorized site was displaying my ads and listed there was my new site's URL. Doh! It's just a hobby site, so I didn't really set it up with the same process as I do my money sites and I left out a step. Can't believe I overlooked that, though. Thanks again for your help. Good karma to you! |

I just went to Google and searched for "adsense clicks no money site:forums.digitalpoint.com" That thread was the first thing that came up. I don't know if that was the thread you were talking about, but it certainly helped.

Is you new site listed in your "Allowed Sites" under the Adsense Setup tab? I made this mistake once. Bought an existing site, swapped out the code, got clicks but no revenue. I forgot to add the site to my "Allowed Sites".
