Unusual use of h1 and h2 tags?

I've got an unusual situation. I've discovered an effective headline but it does not contain my main keyword phrase. There's no way to put these keywords in without changing it substantially.

But my subhead has my top keyword phrase.

I know it's conventional to tag your headline h1 and your subhead h2. But can I turn this around, i.e. make my headline h2 and my subhead h1? This will also require that my h2 comes first, followed by my h1.

I can't imagine a problem with this but thought I'd check with more experienced people first.

the most important thing is relevancy of your main title and its effectiveness in capturing the readers attention.
Its very important to think of your visitors first and the search engines second

Hi DavidO,

I wouldn't sweat it. There are many factors that influence your SERP rankings, if you miss just one you won't see that much difference. You can make up for it by getting a few really good backlinks.

I would however, strongly recommend the your page title tag include your targeted keyword. The title tag may be the most important element to optimize for. You can also create additional content and optimize another page with that keyword and add prominent links to your money page.

H1 or H2 is not the only determine factors.

There are more than 200 factors in ranking a site.
