Still not showing in Google’s first page for domain name

Dears! I need your help for this problem. My website (8 months old) still not showing on the first page of Google at least when I search its own domain name too. It shows the site in page4 for own domain search. But they show other links what they’re coming form bookmarks, article directories…etc on top pages.
1. Why it happens like this?
2. I need to get my site into the first page of Google for its own domain name. What should I do?

First of all check the no of pages indexed by google.
Do search engine submission, and also quality work like article submission and theme directory submission. Do press release.

i think first you need to find out if the niche you are in is ultra competitive.

Showing on the first page on google is not that easy, first your site should be indexed by search engine, how? (Get indexed fast by submitting you site in a social book marking sites), you sites should get back links, how? (post your link in a sites with PR, oops! related sites only), You should do link building, How? (directory sub, classified ads posting and etc.)

I think you need to work on backlink and if possible use article submission,and social bookmarking..

I think most of the answers have missed the point here. The Op says that his bookmarks and backlinks are showing above his site for the domain search. this implies to me that the bookmark sites with the mention of the domain are better optimized for a search of that domain name.

I would look at improving your on-site optimization. Also have you been using anchor text in your bookmarks and backlinking or just using the url?? This could be why they are showing first.

If you ahev a big, established, powerful, authoratitive site with a bookmark page with your damoin on it that 1 mention of your domain might be enough to rank it higher than your site if your on-site SEO is very bad.

You think this will help him rank on the first page without appropriate link building and unique content? I have my doubts there..
