I saw my first payment and wow 28% is being withheld for tax purposes. So what should I do? will I get this money back at the end of the year? If I change my withholding status will I owe at the end of the year? Please shed some light onto this for me and also inform me as to what you guys do! ![]() Should I change it? All the Adsense income you earn as a USA Resident is taxable. So you can have them withhold or not... your choice. AT that amount it sounds like you are not going to be swimming in cash. So yes if you are entitled to a return you will be refunded this amount assuming your income doesn't go over your standard deduction. If you are a real business you get to pay an additional 15.3% FICA tax. Welcome to the real world of Taxes. If you will not make over your standard deduction, then your best bet is to not have the tax withheld. There is no point in letting the government be your bank. |
