Is Squidoo Worth the Effort?

Newbie here, Just wondering if Squidoo is an effective medium for building link popularity and generally promoting a site? Thanks

Yes, Squidoo lenses tend to get crawled and indexed pretty quickly by search engine spiders. Also, several people tend to read Squidoo lenses as long as they provide value to whichever niche you are interested in providing content for.

Squidoo can help in link popularity. I use it most of the times. You can also promote your affiliate links.

With proper backlinks, Squidoo also ranks in Google.

You need to check what topics or niches are not acceptable by Squidoo.They have their spam filter and it can be a pain when they don't allow you to publish your lens after putting all the contents.

i saw good results from squidoo links within 2 weeks so it is definitely worth it in my opinion

It is very easy to make a lens (a webpage on squidoo). It is pretty much step by step. Squidoo is effective because it helps to drive tons of traffic to websites and blogs. Plus I make some extra cash each month from squidoo and amazon.

Squidoo is definitely worth the effort. Look at a top rated lens and
mimic the way it was done. Great way to funnel traffic.
