How long after applying should it take to get an AdSense account? My wife and I have a personal AdSense account, and have now applied for a business account (which IS absolutely allowed under the AdSense TOS). 4-5 weeks later nothing. I realized I never got an email when I applied, but as I have an existing account under that email (for Google Webmaster account purposes), maybe that's normal? I reapplied over two weeks ago, but nothing hard, nada. The Website complies with their TOS, is 100% all original content, etc. It's Champagne Poodle - liquor and beer sites are not allowed but wine is OK. So what should I do? Wait a few more weeks and then perhaps apply with the same info under a different Website or ? I really do need this income to come in under the company rather than personally for tax purposes, and Google is just silent and not replying. They do say that applying for an account takes 1-2 days, so I'm way over. Any ideas?? |

You should have certainly heard in this much time. Check your spam box and other obvious areas of oversight.

In my experience, the fastest way to get an Adsense account approved is to set up a Blogger blog with a few good, long posts, then add the Adsense widget. Mark |

Nothing in spam filters etc from them at all. I wonder how long I should wait? I would expect some kind of reply eventually. I'm glad to start a Blogger Blog and then reapply in a few weeks. Long meaty posts are no problem at all. Just confused as to what to do and when . . . will wait them out for a while I suppose. |

I had a friend of mine sign up last week and she got approved in 2 days. This is what Google says about getting a business account when you have a personal one. Did you use a different name? You may submit a new application. Please make sure that the account type (individual or business) and payee name are different from your original application, and ensure that you can accept payments to that payee. |

Yup, different name as they say in the business account rules. If I log into AdSense they say something like "thanks for you're continued interest, to apply . . ." |

Friggin Google, Their customer service is almost non existent. Actually it would be better if they had none so then we wouldn't get pissed off for not getting a response at least. Go to Matt Cutts blog and pester the hell out of him. ![]() Matt Cutts: Gadgets, Google, and SEO |

I notice that Google Webmaster tools stopped by Aug 25 - hopefully a good sign. Googlebot comes by periodically, most recently yesterday. Yeh, that's it's - I'll go leave endless comments on Matt Cutts blog! |
