Default Keeping track of your backlink campaigns? mind mapping software?

Hey Warriorsm

You may be able to help me with this but sometimes i struggle to remember what i have done for my different niches and sites and what i still left to do and frankly my current method of an excel spreadsheet is kinda boring.

So i thought about it for a bit and thought why not do it with mind mapping software!

Then i can create coloured bubbles for each layer and draw all the arrows in etc and have the sites url's and just fill in the blanks each time and keep a record of all url's easily!

So anyone got any suggestions? or other ways to do this?

Might work.

I've got MindJet and love it.

Another alternative would be to find something that has already been created for this specific purpose.

Two warriors have such products.

One is by Amy Bass and the other is by Tinkerandpo.

Oops. I just read your post again.

I'm not sure if the products mentioned by those two Warriors keep track of backlinks, but they do keep your niche blogs well organized.

Sorry!

I use excel yeah, it's a pain in the ass but without it I'd be lost.
I stick with it because I can export all of my data to .csv and I use a ton of apps.

Market Samurai
SENUKE
Spyfu
Google KW External
G Search Based KW Tool
Adwords Data
G trends
And more.

Ill look at MindJet but it's hard to beat being able to filter, sort, chart and add formulas with excel.

Keeping track of everything is one of my biggest challenges also.

I use OneNote. I duplicate a tab that has all of the backlinking tasks laid out in pages and subpages. I just delete each line as it's done.

For example, I have a page for Profiles with a sub-page listing all of the vBulletin forums I use. Another sub-page shows Expression Engine sites. Etc.

This way I can somewhat streamline my work by doing the tasks in a more repetitive manner. Also when I reach the point where I can outsource, this makes it easier to do a Jing video for each type of site and assign the tasks in matching groups.

I also use onenote from anything from keeping important forum post to mapping out my linking strategy for each website. Onenote is amazing if you learn how to use it.

You might want to try Who Links to Me to track your back links.

Its a free service and all you gotta do is enter in your domain names, embed a small piece of code between <body> and </body> wait about 72 hours and your Dashboard will show you what you're looking for.
