Default Adsense Acting Weird

I've been having this issue consistently with Adsense for the past 2-3 weeks.

Basically, whichever page I make as my homepage shows only PSAs. For instance, if Page A is my homepage, then there are only PSAs on Page A, normal ads on Page B. If I change the homepage from Page A to Page B, then Page B gets all PSAs, while Page A runs normal ads.

Also, if I change the colors of an ad in my Adsense, the color of the ad on my website sometimes change, sometimes don't. If I change text color from red to green, and visit my site, it'll show red colored ads and green colored ads completely randomly.

My Adsense income has evaporated completely. CTR is 0.19%

I use the ads on high PR sites (domains picked up at Snapnames) that have all unique content, and are completely legit by all standards.

I run them on Wordperss. My basic Wordpress set up has the following plugins:

1. Advertising Manager
2. All in One SEO/Platinum SEO
3. One Click Plugin Updater
4. Contact Form 7
5. Privacy Policy Plugin
6. Exclude Pages
7. Google Analytics for Wordpress

What could be the source of the problem? The plugins? Or something wrong with my Adsense account itself?

Adsense support was, like always, completely unhelpful.

Have a great new year folks!

Hi sashas,

I would check the code thoroughly for any issue related to the hijacking of your publisher ID. Sadly, you must always be on guard when using third party plugins. Many have been known to inject their own AdSense publisher ID.

Another thing to consider is your source of traffic. If you have a lot of fake traffic going to the home page URL then you'll get PSA ads regardless of your page content.

Another thing is that you are using Wordpress, which in it's default configuration will display the most recent posts on the home page. This constant change in the home page content makes it difficult to optimize ads for delivery to the home page. It takes a few days for AdSense to optimized ads for your page content, so it isn't wise to frequently change the content. You should consider changing your home page to a static page rather than a recent posts page.
