Blogspot Ranking and Revenue ?

Fellow warriors,

Is it possible to get a .blogspot.com blog ranked highly in google and earn a decent income from either adsence or amazon or affiliate products?

As far as I am aware and can work out CPA is not an option with blogspot at the moment.

Just a quick question to the more experienced warriors for a bit of guidance.

Well I would never use blogspot to create and/or manage a blog. If you are planing on creating a blog at least use wordpress and at least try to find a small amount of money to invest in hosting and a domain name. Otherwise your blog won't be earning much or even any money. Furthermore you won't be taken seriously by your readers.

I do have a couple of domains registered at the moment though wanted too add a few more but the expence of it here in South Africa is a bit expensive I mean can only afford 1 a month so it is a very slow process...

I do not know where some of the above info comes from.

As blogspot is owned by google, it has a lot of juice.
Just do a search for any topic by blog.
I just did: obama blog (no quotes) and the blogspots are in five
out of the top ten. I'd say that's pretty major juice for blogspot.

I use both. But I have a blogspot blog
that ranks quite highly. Now as far as affiliate marketing
like amazon, embed the links in your posts.

Again, not sure where some have info about blogspot.
In fact, I'd say do a blogspot if you want to. It is one
of the easiest to use and adsense is automatic with your
google account. I would even go as far as to say that
google will "maybe" give more leverage to blogspot,
all other things being equal.

I have blogspot and its earning small revenue in adsense.
I also believe that optimizing it will give me more income like other website.

Lets go and optimize our site.

I have Blogger blogs with PR-3 and PR-4, and lots of traffic (I use them primarily for linking).

I know more than a few people earning good money ($X,XXX/mo.) using just Blogger.

i would like to take some experiment and uses every bit of information I am getting here at WF. and then i will let you guys know, everything in my sig. is a blogspot blog.

anything is possible, but it may not be probable. i havnt seen blogspot ranked highly very often to be honest. Other options are Squidoo and Hubpages. Ive seen these web 2.0 sites ranked highly more often than I have seen blogspot- but then again, i would recommend investing in your own domain and hosting.

I agree. I have a few blogger blogs earning me residual income. And why don't you think you can use CPA ofers on them?

I have CPAs on a couple of mine and have never had a problem with them.
