How Many Ads Per Page? What is Your Experience?

There has been discussion that 1 ad is better than 3 ads as it raises the value of the ads on your webpage.

What is your experience?

The arguement would be that the more ads the more to choose from - therefore resulting in more clicks.

The user has more choice.

I have the best luck with a 336 x 280 above the fold a 160 x 600 on the side and a link unit somewhere

Have you ever tried 1 ad block only?

Apparently this means the highest paying ads would be shown - but not sure about this.

This is not so. The first adblock shown has the 'highest-value' ads (first being 'first encountered in page source code'), whether you have one adblock or three.

Ad in the middle of the content which blend really close to it brings most value...
