Linkwheel Experiment

Hi guys,

I've stumbled upon the Linkwheel idea and this weekend I'll be experimenting with that.

I just wanted to ask you if you have already used it. I am going to implement it for a review site and I am not yet sure whether to use it to promote the homepage or a particular product review page.

Any suggestions are welcome!

What do you mean? Link A is Linking to Link B and Link B is Linking to Link C is that what you mean? Well it can be good because Google doesn't see three way linking unlike reciprocal linking.

Linkwheel is basically this, yes. Site A linking to Site B AND money site, Site B linking to Site C AND money site ...... Site F linking to Site A AND money site thus forming a wheel.

The question is whether I should use this to promote my home page or the particular product's page.

Link Wheels work - we use them in combination with other methods... - you can also automated it with tools like Link Juicer which builds white hat links for you or you hire somebody to build them for you

Don't pick too competitive keywords at start, you can scale up your competition and search count later, just find out how it works at start.

Pick low competition keyword that you can rank fast, build some backlinks to it (Angela & Paul backlinks), and see your keywords rank.

It would be interesting to see how strong it can work for a product page from a shopping cart. Those are hard to optimize depending on the cart.

It depends what page you want to rank for a certain keyword. It may be a good idea to just focus on your homepage so that you can see some quick traffic then you can start building backlinks for specific pages with highly targeted keywords.
