I have a client whose real product content resides remotely in a CMS DB on a vendor's server.
Is there a way to optimize the client's site for the content that is not on their server, but resides in a framed app? Thanks in advance! |

It depends how he accesses the content, but using PHP or any other server-side technology this should be easy.
Just remember to, after you've got the content, set the <title> and <h1> tags to the content's title. You can also, using str_place and if needed regular expressions make any necessary changes to the content, before outputting the HTML to the user. But it does depend on how you get the content, and whether you are able to apply server side scripting. |

If you're going to spend time doing seo on anything you or your client should own it. If you don't own it your at the mercy of the owner. You can optimise a presales page or you can optimize a page and insert a frame. Then if the data provider either decides to do something else or goes out of business it's an easy fix to remove the frame and keep on trucking.

You import the content and insert it into a page, correct?
If so, you still control every other aspect of that page and can add plenty of SEO elements to the page, before and after the content. Adding an intro paragraph or "commentary" after the content, using selected keywords is just one of many options. You also control the off-page/linking SEO and get to select the keywords you wish to use for this. |
